Who ARE WE...

My name is Jenny Jones and I am the founder and Director of JKPA. Now in our 6th year I am so proud of how JKPA have expanded and I'm very excited for the future with lots of things in the pipe line.

I qualified with a BTEC & HNC in Performing Arts and subsequently went on to work with various theatre companies across London as a professional actor. I am a very enthusiastic musical theatre performer and I have previously performed in various London based shows. I still perform on stage with an adult theatre company competing in competitions around the country, which I absolutely love!

I now feel extremely lucky to be able to teach musical theatre and acting at various different stage schools across London and Essex as well as JKPA and have a huge pool of private LAMDA students who are all thriving with their results.

I believe that music and drama go hand in hand to provide children with key skills and confidence...as well as being fun. My main focus for JKPA will always be to raise confidence in children and to provide them with the skills they need to be happy performers.

LAMDA Acting Teacher

My name is Nigel Bernard. I trained as a professional actor at The Bridge Theatre Training Company and graduated in 2007. Prior to my graduation I spent 6 years working with Theatre Royal Stratford East Youth Theatre, this was coupled with a BTEC National Diploma in performing arts.

My experience has led me into performing in many theatre productions such as Aladdin, One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest and many more. My TV credits include The Bill, Boots commercial and Autopsy: The last 24 hours of Amy Winehouse.

I have worked for various theatre companies by leading workshops within some of the poorest Boroughs throughout London and have directed young people into devising and performing at the Polka Theatre Company.

I have worked backstage for JKPA for many years and have loved watching the children grow in performance ability and confidence. I am now so excited to be teaching LAMDA Acting for JKPA and achieving many more fantastic results for these aspiring children.

Dance Teacher

Saffron is a professional dancer and choreographer based in London. She started as a Ballroom and Latin dancer and then found her love for street/commercial as a teenager.

Saffron has trained at Broadway Dance Centre in New York and Shockout Arts in Manchester. Since graduating, she continues to choreograph and has had the opportunity to perform in the U.K., USA and India with artists such as Boney M, Peter Andre, Ace of Base, Whigfield and Technotronic.

Saffron is very excited to start her new journey with JKPA and can’t wait to work with everyone!
